How it works

From install to verified lab in about five minutes

1

Install and sign in

Add the extension to Chrome or Edge and sign in with your Microsoft account. It opens as a side panel next to the Azure portal, so the instructions stay visible while you work.

2

Deploy a scenario

Pick a lab and click Set up. The extension builds the starting environment in your subscription. Some labs start with a deliberate misconfiguration for you to find and fix.

3

Do the work, get verified

Complete each task in the portal at your chosen difficulty: full guidance, hints on demand, or goals only. Click Check my work to see which requirements pass and which are missing. One button cleans everything up when you're done.

What you'll need

Two things, both free to start

A Microsoft account and an Azure subscription. Labs deploy into your own environment, so you practice in the same portal you'll use on the job. A free Azure account covers the whole catalog: most labs use free resources, and the few that bill hourly are labeled, cost a few cents, and come with cleanup reminders. One caveat on brand-new free trials: Microsoft restricts some VM sizes by region, so the Virtual Machine lab may ask you to pick a different region; the extension checks availability before deploying and tells you what works. Upgrading the trial to pay-as-you-go (free until you use paid resources) removes those limits. Please use a personal training subscription, not your employer's environment.

Sync progress to your dashboard

Link the extension to this account once; every verified task shows up here

Lab progress verified by the extension appears on your dashboard next to your test results. If the Microsoft account you use in the extension has the same email as this account, it links automatically. Different emails? Generate a code below and enter it in the extension under Link your WetzelWisdom account.
