How the Skill Rating works
It looks at every question you answer, not only your final scores.
Every timed test counts
Each practice test and Domain Focus drill you finish records which questions you answered and whether you got them right. Practice mode is left out because it shows the answers as you go. A question left blank counts as wrong, as it does on the exam, unless most of the test was left blank.
Guessing is taken into account
A yes or no question can be guessed right half the time, so a correct answer there tells us less than a correct answer to a question with four or five choices.
Repeats count for much less
Retaking a test brings back questions you have already seen, and the review screen shows every answer. The first time you answer a question counts in full. After that it counts for very little.
Recent answers matter most
Older answers fade as you answer new questions, so the rating follows your progress instead of averaging in where you started.
You get a range, not just a number
With only a few answers in a domain the range is wide, and it narrows as you answer more. A domain needs about five answers before any number is shown.
Earlier tests are included
Tests you took before the beta started still count, using the domain scores saved with them.
What the percentages mean. Each domain shows the score you would most likely get today on WetzelWisdom's AZ-104 questions in that domain, with a range it probably falls in. Overall readiness combines the five domains using the weights in Microsoft's AZ-104 skills outline. The dashed line marks 70%, the pass mark on our practice tests.
Your data. The rating is worked out from your saved test results each time you open this page, and only you can see it.
